Brewing FounderThe heart behind PeeDee Beans Coffee — who turned a single espresso counter at the foot of Boudha into a three-floor home for Himalayan craft and Nepali hospitality.
A three-floor cafe perched above the sacred Boudha Stupa — born from a love of espresso, pasta, and slow afternoons.
PeeDee Beans Coffee opened its doors in 2022 — a small espresso counter at the foot of the sacred Boudha Stupa with a single, stubborn idea: that proper specialty coffee and Himalayan food belonged in Kathmandu too.
Within a year we had taken over three floors of the building. The first floor became a bakery counter and espresso bar. The second became a yellow-walled lounge with arched windows and blue velvet sofas — a place to sink in for an afternoon. And the rooftop became something else entirely: open-air dining where the dome of Boudha rises into the frame and the prayer flags catch the light at golden hour.
"Where coffee and Nepal entwine — and the view of Boudha says the rest."
— PeeDee Beans Coffee
Today our menu has grown to nearly 170 items — espresso classics, hand-tossed pizza, slow Bolognaise, momo, breakfasts that run all day, and a rooftop bar at sundown. But the brief has not changed: pull every shot honestly, plate every dish with care, and treat every guest the way you would in your own home.
We work directly with farms that pay fair wages, practice sustainable agriculture, and share our obsession with exceptional coffee.
Every variable matters — grind size, water temperature, extraction time. Our baristas are trained to the highest specialty coffee standards.
Great coffee deserves great company. We've created a space that's as welcoming as the coffee is exceptional.
We tell you exactly where your coffee comes from — the farm, the region, the altitude, the process. You deserve to know your cup's story.
